Safer Internet Day 2018 was celebrated globally on Tuesday 6th February 2018 with the slogan “Create, Connect and Share Respect: A better internet starts with you”. At George Betts, every year group did a different activity linked to this.
Nursery and Reception listened to a story about Internet Safety. They then had to name five important adults who they could go to for help if they needed anything
KS1 listened to an interactive story and did some lovely activities about it. Year 1 talked about why we should say nice things to each other. They then complimented each other on their work and hobbies. Year 2 made a kindness tree where they had to be kind to each other and add it to the tree!
In KS2, Year 3 talked about how to keep safe online and how we can be nice with others. Years 4,5 and 6 used role play to act out different scenarios. The children then had to discuss how they would feel and what they would do if they ever felt unsafe online or even in real life.
