Yesterday (Tuesday 31st October 2017) George Betts took part in NO Pens Day! All lessons taught were based around speaking and listening activities with no pens involved!
The children had to focus on their communication and listening skills to complete tasks throughout the day. This was challenging at first but the children persevered!
Year 1 enjoyed taking part in role playing their favorite stories and discussing words used to describe objects hidden in a feely box.
Year 2 enjoyed working in pairs to create some fantastic shape pictures.
Year 3, used their imaginations and created their own pirate treasure maps in the playground.
Year 4 were very lucky to take part in a skype call with Hugh Greenway Chief executive of the Elliot foundation! Lions and Dolphins discussed in pairs beforehand questions to ask him on the call.
Year 5 did some fantastic art work collaborating together in groups and Year 6 solved algebra problems using coloured cubes.
Not a pen in sight! Well done everyone! The children had lots of fun throughout the day.
